Comments from some of our Happy Guests

“Amanda and Graham are such an interesting couple to talk to – especially relaxing, after arriving back at the end of the day sightseeing, drinks and cakes at the ready – so very civilised! It was a treat to be there – and have a special viewing of their Morgan car. Thanks Graham.I should also mention Amanda’s virtually instant responses to emails, which gives lots of confidence when booking. There are wonderful breakfasts from Amanda – and a special one done for us that we had only mentioned in passing the previous evening. Tennis court, swing seats in the garden, a duck pond, updates on the Webb sisters – and it goes on…..
We were time-limited, but could have stayed for a week, there is so much to see within a day’s driving from Pond Cottage. It is a great stop-over going to Europe, and London is easily available from them on a fast train. We have stayed in many B&Bs and this joins our top three UK B&Bs. Thanks for a lovely stay.”

“Take one fabulous old cottage, mix with two warm hosts, add a dash of fun and leave to settle for at least two nights… and there you have the recipe for a delicious Eggpie!
Seriously, this is the best B&B I have ever had the good fortune to discover. My partner Richard and I spent a memorable two nights here but wish it could have been longer.
The accommodation is superb; the cottage steeped in history, fabulously comfortable room (we stayed in the Orr Ewing), wonderful facilities, beautiful gardens and grounds, rural location yet close to lovely restaurants, pubs, cafes and links to London.
Tea and homemade cake-to-die-for were always on offer and the breakfast is delicious.
It was the perfect base for Richard’s once-in-lifetime trip to Biggin Hill for a ride in a Spitfire, and by pure chance another guest was also there for the same reason, which made the shared experience even more special.
But there is so much more to this place than just a B&B.
Mandy and Graham are amazing hosts – not only in terms of their hospitality and attention – but with their abundance of fascinating stories to tell about their lives and those of their tremendously talented children.
A magical place run by inspiring people. We will be back !”

“My husband and I spent three nights at this wonderful cottage. The attention to detail from every aspect was outstanding. The welcome and care shown to us by the owners Mandy and Graham from the moment we arrived until we departed was exceptional. Interesting conversation, accompanied by slices of humour added to the enjoyment. They really made our stay memorable and went out of their way to ensure we were not only well looked after but they personalised our stay to meet all our needs PLUS. We cannot recommend this gem more highly. The superb breakfast using a wide choice of local produce was both hearty and delicious, not to mention the home made cake and tea served each day in their delightful garden. The best B and B we have ever stayed in for overall enjoyment and will be returning.”

“It’s hard to know where to begin here, so I’ll start with the proprietors Graham and Amanda Webb. Both are caring and considerate, and so eager to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. They are genuinely kind and extend the hand of friendship to you. The accommodation is excellent, and bedroom we had was spacious and comfortable.
Also the full English breakfast is stunning and the menu is comprehensive. Amanda makes her own bread which you can have for breakfast and Graham picks fresh fruit from the hedgerows (when in season) to make into a compote. It’s these little extras that makes a difference.
On arrival we were greeted by Graham and Amanda and treated to some of the Amanda’s home-made cakes with some tea on the lawn. It was a great start to a great trip.
I thoroughly recommend Eggpie B&B.”

“My son & I spent two glorious nights in Pond Cottage (Eggpie B&B) .. This original 16th Century cottage has maintained its original charm & owners Mandy & Graham have updated to maximise the views over the pond, gardens & tennis court. Imagine a free running stream with pathway through the trees around the pond. Breakfast 1st class just like the hospitality!!! Highly Recommended!! Such a lovely B and B home with such a lovely hosts, Graham and Mandy have set the tone for what a good B and B should be, always comforting the needs of the guests and making them feel well at home. Cannot recommend enough for a place to stay when in Sevenoaks. 5 stars!!”

“We had a very enjoyable stay recently at Eggpie B&B whilst visiting some of the best historic houses in the UK including Hever Castle, Knole House and Chartwell all of which are nearby. Our hosts Graham and Amanda were so welcoming and our daughter especially loved Tonka their super friendly labrador. We arrived to tea and homemade cakes in the beautiful garden and after a very good nights sleep were offered the most amazing breakfast including home made bread and apple and blackberry compote for the yoghurt, local juices and delicious eggs, bacon and sausage. The house is historic, full of character and in such a pretty, peaceful setting. We would highly recommend Eggpie for a relaxing and memorable stay in the beautiful Kent countryside.”

“We couldn’t have asked for more. History, hospitality, fabulous cooking, visiting tips, and just lots of fun being with our hosts, Graham and Mandy. A country paradise, hysteria covered walls, lovely lake / pond with robins, herons, numerous wild birds and bubbling stream – the perfect setting. Can’t wait for our next visit!”

“I can’t say enough about what a fantastic home this was to have the privilege to stay in. A taste of olde England with it’s ancient history. Amanda and Graham are warm and gracious hosts – we felt like long – time friends. And then the breakfast – WOW ! Amanda’s cooking was 5 *, Graham’s coffee making was top notch. Our room was perfectly clean with a beautiful view of the fantastic garden. We were beyond happy.”

“Together with our daughter, we loved staying at this magic spot in the Kent countryside. Even before arriving at the gorgeous home, they already showed their enormous flexibility in trying to meet our changing agenda. Arriving here for a Dutch family is a once in a lifetime experience.”

“We spent four nights in this wonderful place. They call it a cottage, but they make it a palace and we were treated like Kings. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were fantastic – and all local Kentish produce, and Mandy’s cakes – with a large pot of tea when we arrived, and each afternoon when we returned from our adventures were also wonderful. We really felt amongst friends.”

“All in all an idyllic stay in what a B&B should be! The house is set in beautiful gardens with a lake and is itself a large ‘chocolate box’ cottage. In the ancient timbered Inglenook Hall on entry a table was laid with a welcoming pot of tea and home made cakes – served by our charming hostess, Amanda.”

“Paradise in the Kent Countryside. To steal the words of a 1960’s pop song ….. If paradise was half as nice …….The Eggpie is sheer magic. I slept like a log (silence reigned), breakfast was world class.”
