ACCOMMODATION

The accommodation at EGGPIE B&B features one large family room – the Orr – Ewing room – which can accommodate two adults (double bed) and one person / child on a single futon. The room overlooks the beautiful garden and tennis court.

The bedroom also has its own basin and adjoining bathroom with complimentary toiletries, bath, power shower and WC.

The second guest room – the Jasmine Bligh room –  (overlooking the front garden and across fields) is suitable for a single guest, or two guests (double bed).  The room has its own basin.  Both rooms are furnished to meet the highest standards of comfort, with quality bedlinen, and thermostatically controlled central heating.

The third guest room – the Helen Reddy room – is where international star Helen stays when in the UK.   The room overlooks the lake and wildlife and has an en suite shower and WC.

Each room has all that you would expect from a leading B&B; free WIFI, hospitality tray, hair dryer, books, and local tourist information.

Features which give Eggpie B&B its unique character include a beautiful location, lovely old fireplace and oak beams, Amanda’s organic food, only 37 minutes by train from Central London, and the ease for day trips to France – we often pop over for lunch !

Guests have the use of their own sitting room with flat screen TV and a small library of books.
There is a woodburner in the inglenook fireplace for chilly or winter nights.

On arrival guests are offered tea and homemade cakes or biscuits. In good weather this is served in the sunken garden, or at “tea for two” overlooking the lake.

OUR FOOD

Good wholesome Kentish breakfasts are served (as well as a ‘lighter choice’ as an alternative)

A wide range of cereals are available, together with organic cow’s milk or soya milk.  Fresh Kentish fruit in season, and local Kentish pear and apple juice are available.
Eggs are free range, locally sourced, and jams, marmalade and sausages are all local – many promoted by ‘A Taste of Kent.’

Amanda makes her own bread and cakes in our Aga oven.

Coffee: Espresso, Latte and Cappuccino from our Gaggia machine, and a wide range of teas – English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Herbal and Fruit Teas are offered.

Vegetarian and special diets can be catered for with notice.

Breakfasts are served in the Inglenook Hall – part of the original section of the house dating from 1580.
